I spent the last post telling you to start with your scars, not the shiny AI tools.
Let me show you what that actually looks like.
After I sold my chocolate factory, I started a marketing agency. Put together some offers that sounded professional. You know, the usual marketing agency stuff.
We couldn't get any traction. Business owners just weren't buying. I guess something felt off to them. They could smell a generic offer a mile away and they were not biting.
Turns out people only wanted to pay me for problems I'd actually solved. Like when I finally got my ecommerce working in my chocolate business (now that is a story for another day!) Or when I launched a subscription product that actually worked. Stuff I'd been through myself.
Once I started helping people with problems I'd lived through, everything changed.
Sun Tzu was right about knowing the lay of the land. Everything comes down to intelligence. Really understanding your market, your people, what keeps them up at night.
That's the scar I'm working from now.
